What is wet plate collodion, you might ask? Wet plate collodion is a forgotten photographic technique that produces vividly detailed and sometimes chaotic images shot on vintage cameras. Why wet plate? Why not? Wet plate photography is very process driven pursuit, akin to printmaking, which lends itself to the creative atmosphere of the drawing studio. Participants will prepare and expose two of thier own 3"x5" glass plates. The images captured are so finely detailed they can be enlarged to massive scales.
